Job Overview
This role will lead the strategic sourcing activities of ingredients categories including flavors, colors, functional, soft materials etc. This role will develop the procurement strategy for the categories by understanding markets, ensuring long-term supply, optimizing delivered costs, management of risk & opportunities in commodity markets and building positive supplier relations.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop Sourcing Strategy in conjunction with key business partners to address and meet business needs.
2. In conjunction with the business key stakeholders, initiate, direct, and conduct all activities relating to negotiating, evaluating, selecting, and implementing preferred supplier contracts.
3. Conduct industry deep dive analysis to provide proactive insight to sourcing strategy.
4. Develop & refine the procurement processes to minimize efforts & maximize benefits through compliance & specification controls.
5. Define best sourcing procurement process e.g., Traditional RFQ/RFP/RFI, on-line Auction, Collaborative sourcing, multi-event negotiations, etc.
6. Negotiate and develop long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.
7. Develop risk management strategies to minimize risk and maximize opportunity on pricing and sourcing plans.
8. Work closely with our partners in Keurig Trading team to monitor markets ongoing and report impact to business where appropriate.
9. Identify, develop, and execute the best fit supply chain for delivery of ingredients categories to our locations, with specific focus on the US and extension to other regions.
10. Establish & maintain a master contract management system for all spends within scope.
11. Legal Contracting & contract administration.
12. Ensure governance to company and SAP rules to implement supplier NDA's, Contracts, etc. in both Cornerstone and Probe systems.
13. Acquire and be able to communicate market knowledge for the industries in which the vendors participate.
14. Manage the resolution of all suppliers driven quality issues, including but not limited to collection of reimbursement credit.
