Your new role As the Head of Treasury Accounting & Control, you will lead treasury-related accounting and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, especially IFRS9.
This senior-level role requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to mentor a high-performing team.
Experience with automating and streamlining processes would be highly beneficial as the company will be undergoing a transformation in the coming years.
Lead and develop accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for treasury functions Ensure accurate preparation and compliance of financial statements, reports, and disclosures with IFRS and regulatory standards Manage all treasury-related reporting, including cash management, liquidity analysis, and debt management Provide financial insights to the VP Treasury, executive team, and the Board Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimise treasury processes Monitor market trends, interest rates, and currency fluctuations relevant to treasury operations Oversee risk management, including interest rate and foreign exchange exposures Mentor a small, high-performing team, conducting evaluations and fostering professional growth Collaborate with the CFO, VP Treasury, and others on strategic initiatives, ensuring smooth operations during transitional periods Proactively manage tax implications across treasury functions, including debt structuring and regulatory compliance Leverage technology and drive digital transformation to enhance treasury efficiency What you'll need to succeed Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ACA) Ideally, over 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on treasury reporting and regulatory compliance Expertise in IFRS 9, hedging strategies, and basic derivative calculations Strong understanding of financial instruments, including derivatives and their valuation Risk management experience would be an advantage Knowledge of market impacts on accounts and expectations Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across teams Ability to streamline and automate processes and systems Proven experience in managing teams and driving process improvements Strong analytical skills and experience with financial analysis and reporting software Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial modelling tools.
