Transport/Operations Administrator
RECYCLING Open to Public Competition
Our Recycling Business Unit currently has a need for a Transport Administrator on a permanent basis. The role will be based in BNM Recycling Navan and will report to the Depot Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling skip operations, responding to and resolving customer calls and queries, coordinating with drivers, logistics, and customer service teams, and providing coverage for weighbridge operations and cardboard confirmations.

The Role
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
1. Communicate and brief drivers on their daily schedules, ensuring they have accurate information to complete routes efficiently.
2. Take part and support the Transport supervisor with the daily debriefings of Drivers & Helpers on both commercial and domestic routes.
3. Respond to and resolve customer service calls and queries.
4. New customer entry onto the Operating system.
5. Bin Linking.
6. Daily Bin check – weight compliance.
7. Liaise with drivers, customer service, and management to resolve customer service issues thoroughly and efficiently.
8. Various daily Data Entry requirements.
9. Prepare route sheets for the next day’s operations.
10. Skip cash reconciliation and Lodgements.
11. Close of previous day's paperwork on the system ensuring all queries are actioned.
12. PPE control to all Transport staff.
13. Provide weighbridge cover daily & annual leave cover.
14. Comply with all Health and Safety measures to ensure the well-being of employees and the public on company premises.
The Person
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes:
1. Minimum 2 – 3 years experience in a similar role – Waste Management / Logistics environment.
2. Good IT Skills.
3. Good Written and Verbal English essential.
4. Must be flexible to work across different work sections within the business.
5. Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
6. Experience in the waste industry a distinct advantage.
