Job Title: Caseworker and Client Support Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Caseworker and Client Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide information and advocacy support to Irish citizens returning to Ireland from abroad, as well as those leaving Ireland and living abroad.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide client support, including information provision, guidance, advice, and advocacy support.
* Respond to client queries and make appropriate referrals.
* Advocate on behalf of clients with third parties, particularly in relation to social welfare applications/appeals and housing/homeless services.
* Engage with stakeholders for case collaboration and referral purposes.
* Develop and maintain a network of key contacts within relevant Government Departments, Local Authorities, and non-profit organizations.
* Keep up to date with issues affecting Irish emigrants, including developments in policy relating to the welfare of Irish citizens returning to Ireland in crisis.
Requirements
* Degree or post-graduate qualification in social sciences or equivalent.
* Fluent English and high literacy skills.
* Commitment to social justice and a human rights-based approach.
* Experience of working on a one-to-one basis, providing information and advocating on behalf of clients.
* Case management experience.
* Lived experience and/or awareness of Irish diaspora-related issues.
* Knowledge of Ireland's Diaspora Strategy and relevant policies.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Excellent social, communication, and interpersonal skills.
