**Job Summary**
The Manufacturing Team Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production line. This individual will be responsible for staffing and production management, team leadership and development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Collaborate with area supervisors and other team leads to manage staffing assignments and prioritize production schedules.
* Communicate with stores to ensure a continuous supply of components to the production line.
* Meet all production targets as outlined by KPIs and populate target boards to monitor daily progress.
* Address and resolve issues affecting production, including quality, performance, processes, equipment, materials, and labor.
**Team Leadership and Development:**
* Direct team members to foster a multifunctional team environment with flexibility to cover all roles.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving equipment and hardware issues.
* Conduct regular team meetings to align on targets, address assembly line issues, and promote a solution-focused work area.
**Quality Assurance:**
* Communicate quality requirements and standards to the team, ensuring adherence to documented policies and procedures.
* Complete required documentation related to business or regulatory requirements.
**Continuous Improvement:**
* Support and identify continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor and Management teams.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions and ensure an FOD-free environment.
* Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication to drive improvements.
**Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with prior leadership or supervisory experience is essential. A strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies is also required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team are crucial. Problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues proactively and effectively are also necessary. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and documentation standards in a manufacturing setting is a must.
