Our Fermoy, Ireland, facility is FDA registered and certified to ISO for the manufacture of high-quality PCBAs, subassemblies and complete devices up to and including Class III medical devices. Sanmina Fermoy’s core specialization is manufacturing automation. The facility has a track record of 30 years of outstanding operational performance and customer service, backed by a highly experienced workforce.
Please note that this is a shift based position (12 hour shifts which includes days and nights inclusive of weekends).

OBJECTIVES OF POSITION:
1. Quality: Ensure production operators assemble, test and handle all products in line with the documented specification and processes, thus ensuring that all products supplied to our customers are to the highest possible quality levels and conform to all specification requirements.
2. Productivity: Work as part of the manufacturing team to produce the correct number of products in line with the production plans as communicated by Supervisors.
3. Teamwork: Participate as a team member during each day of their employment, committed to a goal of total customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Output Target: Achieve hourly and daily targets and ensure team is busy 100% of shift.
2. Quality: Counsel/retrain operators on quality issues and ensure immediate communication on fails.
3. Attendance / Timekeeping: Monitor feedback daily and meet employees on the day of return from absence.
4. Induction of new employees: Ensure new employees are “buddied up” during transition and know product, process, work instructions, etc.
5. Grievance: Report other grievances to Supervisor.
6. Documentation: Ensure Operators are aware of and adhere to all relevant procedures.
7. Process Adherence: Ensure all work instructions followed and employees are trained continually.
8. Communications: Conduct “Start up meeting” on every shift and ensure effective communications within own team and with other sections of the company.
9. Training: Define training requirements by process/product and achieve training plan.
10. Performance Reviews: Monitor/assess employee’s performance on an ongoing basis and complete appraisals on time.
11. Holidays: Ensure adequate shift coverage and manage holiday balances.
12. Payroll: Check and update the system daily to ensure accuracy.
13. Recruitment: Advise Supervisor of requirements and ensure all new employees are inducted.
14. Overtime: Minimize need for overtime and advise in advance of any requirement.
15. Reports – Key Metrics: Report on absence and encourage equal opportunity practices.
