Job Summary
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to manage the production process and lead a team of associates in our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have previous experience coaching and motivating associates in a production environment.
Responsibilities
1. Manage area-specific production process, identify improvement opportunities, and meet daily production goals.
2. Understand schedules, products, materials, and quality requirements to optimize line performance and KPIs.
3. Lead a team of 15-30 associates, develop and coach individuals, and motivate the team to achieve performance goals.
4. Participate in production and people scheduling, making adjustments as needed.
5. Administer company policies, enforce safety and food safety procedures, and maintain standard operating procedures.
6. Organize team meetings, promote continuous improvement, and facilitate training sessions.
7. Maintain process documentation, collaborate with maintenance, and improve equipment reliability.
8. Cultivate open communication, engage employees through regular meetings and process improvement discussions.
9. Coach and develop employees, manage resources effectively, and prioritize housekeeping and sanitation.
10. Investigate and document safety incidents, reduce risks, and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory policies.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in operations, engineering, business, or a related field.
* At least 3 years of managerial experience, including hiring, employee development, and performance coaching.
* Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous process improvement, and statistical process control is preferred.
* Knowledge of food packaging principles, quality requirements, and ingredient interactions.
* Demonstrated leadership skills, project management expertise, and strong computer skills.
* Effective facilitation, presentation, and team building abilities.
