He/she will liaise with the contract team, client engineering, equipment vendors and service providers to ensure maximum uptime of utilities plant and equipment within the contract scope, and that equipment is following all regulatory, statutory and client corporate requirements.Day to Day of the Role: Day-to-day relationship with Veolia Contract Manager.Day-to-day relationship with Veolia Site Planner/Scheduler with client Engineering Managers and representatives.Day-to-day relationship with client Shift Leads and Maintenance Foremen.Drive reliability engineering and reliability centred maintenance (RCM).Trouble-shooting and high-level investigation of utility plant equipment faults and failures – root cause analysis.Compliance/quality engineering – recording and investigation of deviations on qualified utility plant and equipment, using client’s quality system.Identifying, liaising with, and co-ordination of Service Providers and suppliers on site.Supervision of Service Providers for all Utility plant maintenance within the contract.Liaising with site projects team to ensure that all relevant information is captured forthe purpose of implementing task lists and schedules on the CMMS.Liaising with site contract team to identify suppliers and quantities of spare parts; review and updating of spare part inventory of spares in clients site store.Liaising with contract team and client to review maintenance programme, and effecting changes to methods and procedures where appropriate.Continuous improvement of contract delivery on site.Identifying energy saving schemes, and liaison with site and Veolia Energy Engineers.Liaise with Quality to prepare and participate in internal and external audits.The Plant Engineer - Compliance will be expected to be involved in Utility projects and issues (deviations, safety incidents etc.) across the site and potentially off site. This will also include trouble-shooting and high-level investigation of all related plant equipment faults and failures.He/she will ensure that all maintenance, preventative and unplanned, of assigned equipment/systems is completed on schedule, within budget, in a safe and satisfactory manner and all necessary documentation completed.Drive reliability engineering and reliability centred maintenance (RCM)Supporting site contract maintenance team in minimizing downtime and risk of downtime to facilityUpdating of utilities related standard operating proceduresIdentifying, liaising with, and, where appropriate, co-ordination of third-party contractors and suppliers on site.Liaising with site contract team to identify suppliers and quantities of spare parts; review and updating of spare part inventory of spares in clients site store.Liaising with contract team and client to review maintenance programme, and effecting changes to methods and procedures where appropriateMonitor progress & quality of assigned tasks carried out by Projects, AIT and/or other departments.Training of engineering and operation personnel on discipline related issues and assigned new or modified equipment/systems.Contribute to process improvement/optimisation from an engineering viewpointAnalysis of new technology for optimisation of plant and processesManagement of audit action items generated from various site, corporate, cGMP and EHS audits, relevant to equipment in scopeEnsuring Engineering areas, in liaison with service providers, facilities and equipment are kept in a clean, safe and serviceable condition, and high standards of general housekeeping are maintained.Ensure that all work on site is carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines.Be responsible for his/her training curricula and ensure missing requirements are completed Required Skills for the Role:Essential:Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably mechanical/ process and/or building services, with three to ten years post graduate experience, orTrade qualification (National Craft Cert, City & Guilds or Equivalent), preferably mechanical/building services, with ten to fifteen years post apprenticeship experience, orMarine qualification, with six to ten years’ experience at sea.Maintenance and troubleshooting experience of the following systems and processes:Plant steam boilers and boiler water treatment and generation systems; HVAC; tower water systems; RO/Purified Water; DIW, Plant Steam, Clean Steam; LPHW andDH&CW Systems; Compressed Air; Process gases; Power distribution; Building Management Systems; Validation;Has a strong background with Atex / Hazardous Area equipment experience.Self-motivation, ability to work alone and as part of teamGood communication and interpersonal skillsComputer Skills (Excel, Word etc) Desirable:Six Sigma qualificationExperience in a Supervisory roleExperience in maintenance Planning and maintenance Computer system Vacuum, automated control systems (other than BMS).Knowledge of Hazardous Area Gas Analysers and instrumentation.Design and/or modification of any/ all the above systemsKnowledge and experience of CMMSMaintenance and troubleshooting experience of the following systems and processes Refrigeration, fume-hoods, bio-safety cabinets, LAF cabinets, Fire suppression systems;Please note:If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.If you are a non-EU/EEA national, you will require current and valid permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.Information on legislation and guides to the procedures in relation to obtaining greencard permits ,work permits, spousal/dependant permits is available on the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation website.
