Base pay range
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join our Client based in Naas, Ireland. You’ll be part of a wider group delivering key Health, Safety and Environment regulations for the Goodfellas brand.
As a member of the site management team, you’ll be responsible for driving EHS compliance and ensuring robust EHS programs and procedures are in line with group customer and legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
This is a key role within the wider group and you’ll be a huge part in ensuring health and safety principles are met for a key site in the Group’s operations. Some responsibilities include:
* Being the lead on Health, Safety & Environmental management on site and promoting a H&S culture.
* Look at ways in improving H&S and Environmental processes and procedures for the site and report back to General Manager and Supply Chain Director.
* Manage a team of SHE Officers, ensuring upskilling and mentoring effectively.
* Supporting Clients audit programme on a cross category basis.
* Managing Environmental budget for the site.
* Reporting on accidental stats and site performance, and comparing to group standards.
* Responsible for all external stakeholders including waste management etc.
About you…
You’ll be an expert in Health, Safety and Environmental factors with experience in a manufacturing site, ideally food and drink or pharmaceuticals. You will understand the complexities and importance of good health and safety measures in a production site, and bring ideas of best practices to the site and wider group.
* Experience of Health, Safety and Environment roles within a manufacturing site.
* Manufacturing experience essential, Food and Drink will be preferred but open to wider manufacturing.
* Has managed or mentored a team within HSE and enjoys upskilling.
* IT skills are desirable so experience of systems including SAP would be beneficial.
* Commercial acumen required as you’ll be managing budgets and costs.
* Academic qualifications in Health, Safety and/or Environmental subjects are highly desirable.
