Overall Purpose of the Job:
As a Technical Services Technician with Apleona, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of all refrigeration and air conditioning systems across numerous sites. You will ensure that all technical and non-technical equipment under our control is functioning efficiently, safely, and effectively.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform planned preventative maintenance on all equipment under our control.
* Servicing of mechanical, electrical, and non-technical equipment.
* Liaise with the service desk and respond to non-technical and technical queries in a timely manner to ensure conformance with Service Level Agreements.
* Assist subcontractors as required.
* Continuously strive for self-improvement and maintain high standards of work.
* Ensure any training deemed necessary by the M&E Manager is completed.
* Maintain familiarity with all relevant site systems to carry out role requirements.
* Submit reports on service work and assist with quotations and purchasing inquiries.
* Maximize use of CAFM system and promote 'Best Practice' regime.
* Assist the M&E Manager with churn and projects as required.
* Investigate infrastructure shortfalls and recommend remedial actions.
* Provide information for report generation and ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Person Specification:
* Competent in servicing HVAC and Boiler house equipment, including pumps, pressurization units, make-up units, vessels, pressure and expansion, control panels, and components.
* Appreciate the importance of taking ownership of allocated functions.
* Physically fit due to demanding nature of role.
* Computer literate.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Customer-focused and flexible team player.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Refrigeration Craft qualification (F-GAS C&G 2009 CAT 1).
* Formal training/certification in servicing split a/c, Air handling plants.
* Full driving license.
* Safepass.
* Experience in maintaining/servicing large chillers installations/large Air Handling plants.
* Knowledge of AHU, ventilation ancillaries, and relevant controls.
* GID gas qualifications.
* Optional: RGI qualification and experience in servicing oil and gas boilers from domestic to commercial.
* Post-apprenticeship experience.
* Previous experience working in building services maintenance.
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.
