Opportunity for an Assistant Resident Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team based in Wicklow/Kildare and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, advising, and supervising upgrades to the water network.

Due to ongoing contract awards, our clients have a requirement for Assistant Resident Engineers to supervise water projects throughout Ireland. Successful candidates will be placed on work close to home where possible, with travel required as needed.

To be considered as an Assistant Resident Engineer, you should demonstrate previous experience in either Design, Construction, or Supervision of similar utilities, water network upgrades, surveys/investigations, environmental works etc.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise water network upgrades and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
">
* Review and advise on project plans, specifications, and technical reports.
">
* Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
">
* Maintain accurate records and reports of project activities, including safety incidents and near misses.
">
* Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
">
* Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
">

Requirements:
">
">
* At least 3-5 years postgraduate experience in industry, with experience in on-site supervision, construction, surveying, or project management on Utilities/Water/Wastewater/Environmental engineering projects.

* A qualification in a related discipline such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering.
">
* Knowledge of watermain repair and replacement works is desirable.
">
* Capable of writing clear and concise reports and keeping works records.
">
* Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
">
* A current and valid Safe Pass card is essential, confined spaces training can be provided.
">
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Ability to act within a team at all times.
