We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Job Description:
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial construction methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
2. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
3. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
4. Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities in the estimating process.
5. Maintain a database of historical cost data and unit prices.
6. Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
7. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations.
8. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and changes in commercial construction methods and materials.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on commercial construction.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
4. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
5. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are a plus.
