Community Campaigns Executive
Type: Full time – 35 hours/week.

Salary: DOE (Approx. €35,000-€40,000)
ABOUT CUH Charity
Established in 2012, CUH (Cork University Hospital) Charity is the nominated charity of Cork University Hospital (CUH) and Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH). We work closely with the management team and healthcare experts at CUH and CUMH to identify the hospitals’ most pressing needs and provide financial support for all departments.
CUH Charity identifies a selection of focused appeals that require our assistance. We offer a wide range of opportunities for people to donate to these vital causes through organising and supporting fundraising events. Our work is very much a team effort, from the charity representatives to our wonderful volunteers and hospital staff. We encourage community involvement by offering opportunities for workplace and school fundraising, along with a wide range of other ways to give.
Role Overview:
The Community Campaigns Executive will play a pivotal role in guiding supporters through their fundraising journey, managing events, and fostering strong relationships to deliver an ambitious fundraising plan. You will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of events from concept to completion, delivering outstanding supporter communications, and ensuring targets are met. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the charity and beyond, ensuring strategic objectives are achieved while protecting and growing the CUH Charity brand.
This role is perfect for a motivated and energetic individual with a creative mindset and a proven track record of delivering income growth through effective event and participant management. You will be driven and dynamic, eager to contribute to the charity’s success and achieve its ambitious goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporter Engagement & Communications: Guide supporters throughout their fundraising journey by providing regular, tailored communications and ensuring they have the resources and items they need. Develop compelling communications to maximize income generation and supporter retention.
2. Event Management: Manage a portfolio of fundraising events from idea generation to post-event evaluation. Collaborate with internal teams to create marketing plans that inspire, secure supporters, and help them build successful fundraising events.
3. Marketing: Work closely with colleagues on marketing plans for events to inspire and secure supporters and/or help supporters build their events. Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and provide insights to enhance overall fundraising efforts.
4. Budgeting & Reporting: Set annual income targets and budgets for your events portfolio, tracking progress through monthly reports. Implement contingency plans as needed to ensure targets are met.
5. Strategic Planning & Performance: Contribute to the charity’s annual strategic planning, including setting clear objectives, KPIs, and milestones to guide fundraising activities and measure success.
6. Market Awareness: Stay informed about developments in events and community fundraising, as well as relevant news and trends in the third sector, to inform your approach and drive innovation within CUH Charity.
7. Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships across the hospital and the wider community, ensuring the charity’s initiatives are well-supported and widely promoted.
8. Salesforce Management: Keep Salesforce up to date with accurate donor information and income records, ensuring transparency and accuracy in reporting.
9. Negotiation & Cost Management: Secure the best rates and options for the charity in terms of suppliers and services, negotiating favourable terms to optimise budget efficiency.
10. Brand Integrity: Ensure that all events and activities uphold the CUH Charity brand, reinforcing its values and commitment to growth and excellence.
11. Other Duties: Perform any additional duties as requested by the Line Manager that are in line with the role’s core responsibilities.

6. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to maximise the impact of every campaign.
7. Reliability and adaptability – a ‘can do’ attitude.
8. Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively in a team.
9. This position involves working as part of a busy development team and staff are required to have a degree of flexibility in their work and attitude.
10. Full Clean Drivers Licence and flexibility to travel (including outside of Ireland).
11. Fluent in English.
Desirable:
1. Experience working in the non-profit sector would be an advantage.
2. Experience working in events would be an advantage.
3. Experience in Salesforce Database is an advantage, but not essential. Training is available.
Terms
1. 35 hours per week.
2. Location: CUH Charity office is in Cork.
3. Hours: Due to the nature of the role, significant flexibility is required from both the employee and the employer.
4. 23 days annual leave.
5. Office will be closed for three days over Christmas.
6. Time off in lieu.
7. Training budget available.
