Danu Energy Consulting Ltd (Danu) is an engineering consultancy business specialising in renewable energy and sustainability projects. Danu was formed in January 2023 and is based in Dublin, Ireland.
Although the company is new, the Danu team have worked together in the renewables sector for a number of years and bring significant experience to the services we offer to our clients.

About the Role
We require a project manager to lead on the delivery of wind farms, solar farms and battery energy storage projects. This will primarily involve taking projects through the pre-construction and construction phases, acting as Owner’s Engineer. The majority of our projects are located in Ireland.
Responsibilities
1. Be part of a project team which delivers renewable energy projects (primarily wind farms, solar farms and battery energy storage systems) on behalf of clients.
2. Help to develop project budgets and schedules, including use of MS Project or similar industry standard software.
3. Assess, review and report on project spend throughout the project.
4. Maintain project risk registers, action trackers, change logs, etc.
5. Be a key member of Danu’s project team, typically including colleagues from across project management, electrical engineering, civil engineering, site engineering and H&S safety departments.
6. Build up a strong understanding of the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) or Principal Designer (PD) role.
7. Provide input for the preparation of Employer’s Requirements and other technical documents for inclusion in construction contracts, including:
1. Turbine Supply Agreement (TSA)
2. Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) contract
3. Civil and Electrical Balance of Plant (BoP) contracts
8. Support clients in obtaining relevant project consents, permits and licences such as CRU.
9. Liaise with distribution and transmission system operators regarding grid connection contracts and delivery on behalf of clients.
10. Support Danu’s Project Manager and client in negotiation of construction contracts.
11. Support Danu’s PM with the administration of construction contracts, including:
1. Reviewing contractors’ payment applications;
2. Drafting contractual letters and notices;
3. Assessing and reviewing contractor claims;
4. Advising on variations/change orders;
5. Reviewing applications for Take Over.
12. Support Danu PM in holding construction meetings both on site and remotely.
13. Preparing and issuing minutes of meetings in conjunction with wider Danu PM team.
14. Support Danu PM in managing construction interfaces between contractors and other project stakeholders.
15. Support Danu PM team and clients to take projects through financial close/final investment decision.
16. Provide input into technical due diligence reviews and reports for project financing or project transactions.
17. Build and maintain knowledge of industry activity, relevant legislation and regulations applicable to the role and how they apply to the renewable and sustainable energy projects.
18. Actively participate in CPD courses.
19. Engagement with industry contractors, designers, and equipment suppliers to ensure awareness of best in class industry offerings and opportunities for additional efficiencies for Clients or potential cost savings.
20. Endeavour to always maintain strong client relationships.
21. At all times consider Danu’s reputation in the wider industry by acting with integrity and professionalism.
22. Input positively and constructively to Danu project team meetings with the aim of continuously improving Danu’s performance and delivery to clients.
Person Requirements
1. Degree qualified, preferably in engineering.
2. Three years’ experience in a project or engineering role, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
3. Knowledge and understanding of wind farms, solar farms, battery energy storage systems or related projects would be a significant advantage.
4. Understanding of construction contracts (ideally FIDIC contracts) would be an advantage.
5. Understanding of the Owner’s Engineer role.
6. Full driving licence.
7. Good at dealing with people.
8. Strong communicator, confident participating in meetings and discussions.
9. Strong report writing skills and ability to produce professional, presentable documents.
10. Able to work from our Dublin office (hybrid working possible).
11. Legally entitled to work in Ireland.
