Executive Officer Role
The School of Social Sciences and Philosophy invites applications for the position of Executive Officer.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provision of administrative support for teaching programmes in the Department of Sociology from admission through to graduation, including admissions, timetabling, examination scheduling, and transcript preparation.
* Liaison with central College offices and external stakeholders regarding timetabling, room bookings, student cases, and examination results.
* Maintenance of accurate records of module choices, databases, and student transcripts.
* Assistance with undergraduate and postgraduate programme coordination, Erasmus administration, and student orientation.
* Maintenance of website, Facebook pages, and Twitter accounts for a strong online presence.
* Supporting Course Directors in marketing courses, producing advertising materials, and participating in recruitment events.
* Facilitating the admissions process, responding to enquiries, and maintaining working relations with other administrative staff.
Requirements:
* An appropriate administrative qualification or third-level qualification.
* Considerable experience in providing high-level administrative support in an academic environment.
* Excellent IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheet design, database maintenance, social networking applications, and website maintenance.
* Knowledge and experience of internal systems CMIS, FIS, and SITS.
* Excellent communication, organisational, customer-service, and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range:
$50,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
