Job Title: Employee Relations Officer
Key Purpose:
The role involves supporting employee relations and resolving any employee relations issues as required, with the aim of building a positive and engaged work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partnering with senior business stakeholders and HR teams to develop and implement Employee Relations best practices and programs.
* Managing employee complaints, managing grievance procedures, and supporting counselling with other stakeholders.
* Investigating and resolving complex or critical employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
* Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
* Document investigations, outcomes and resolutions related to employee relations issues.
* Support with case file coordination relevant to WRC hearings, within agreed timeframes.
* Support and represent the company at WRC hearings.
* Ensure that policies are consistently applied and in compliance with company policies and relevant employment legislation.
* Continue to stay updated and upskill on new evolving employment legislation.
* Act as objective and trusted advisor for both employees and management within the company.
* Consult and provide training, advice, counsel, and resolution to employees and managers on a broad range of employee relations matters.
* Leads and develop team members to effectively handle employee relations issues and concerns, minimizing corporate risk and improving employee experience.
Requirements:
* Strong people leadership skills focused on coaching and collaboration.
* Experience leading complex projects and driving operational excellence and improved employee experience.
* Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated ability to drive results through individual efforts and influencing others.
* Excellent customer service and relationship management skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, tact, and business acumen.
* Ensuring up to date knowledge and use of key systems, tools, and policies.
* Responsible for processing and coordinating any ER issues.
* Prior experience in employee relations or industrial relations.
* Strong knowledge of HR policies & procedures.
* In-depth knowledge of employment legislation.
* Strong problem-solving, negotiation & influencing skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Share Point.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
* Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Attention to detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Proactive with a can-do attitude.
* Understanding and demonstrable implementation of the Securitas Core Values of Integrity; Vigilance and Helpfulness.
* Fluent in English.
* Excellent written skills.
* CIPD qualification is essential.
