Agile Coach / Scrum Master

Contract Length: 12 Month Contract
Location / Hybrid Working: Dublin- 1 week in office every month
Pay Rate: Up to €520 per day
The Scrum Master will be an essential member of the*- Scrum Master Chapter, helping teams to embrace and continuously improve their agile practices. As a Scrum Master, you will guide teams in utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver exceptional value to customers, mentor teams through the complexities of agile frameworks, and ensure the effectiveness of agile ceremonies and practices.
This role requires you to be a passionate coach and facilitator with deep expertise in Scrum and Agile practices. You will work closely with the Product Owner to manage the product backlog, support the team in removing impediments, and ensure that agile events (such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups) run smoothly. Additionally, you will focus on fostering high-performance teams, promoting collaboration, and driving continuous improvement across the product area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Agile Leadership & Coaching: Guide teams to improve their agile maturity by mentoring team members, delivering training, and providing coaching resources to enhance efficiency and performance.
* Scrum Expertise: Facilitate agile events (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups), ensuring they are effective and aligned with agile principles.
* Team Performance: Work closely with the Product Owner and leadership to prioritize and execute the highest value work. Help teams improve their performance by identifying areas for process improvements and implementing effective strategies.
* Collaboration: Coordinate with multiple teams across the organization, managing dependencies and aligning efforts to deliver integrated solutions to customers.
* Metrics & Transparency: Maintain and update performance metrics (e.g., burn-down charts), ensuring clear, accurate feedback to team members and visibility to partners.
* Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in the community of practice, sharing best practices, insights, and opportunities for process improvement within your product area.
* Multi-Tasking & Communication: Handle competing priorities effectively while communicating information concisely to various audiences.
Skills & Expertise You Bring:
* Experience: 10+ years in a Scrum Master or Agile coaching role, with significant experience working in or with agile technology teams.
* Certifications: Scrum Master certification is required; advanced certifications are preferred.
* Technical Expertise: Proficient in agile practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Kanban, Lean), with a strong understanding of how to drive value delivery for customers.
* Collaboration Skills: Experience working closely with Product Owners to plan and execute work based on the product roadmap.
