Our company, an established manufacturing and retrofit leader, is expanding its team in Cork. We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive our retrofit design projects forward.
About the Role
This opportunity focuses on developing eco- or carbon-neutral materials for the retrofit sectors. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will support the development of innovative retrofit designs that push boundaries and drive change.
Responsibilities
* Deliver projects from feasibility to development, ensuring timely and budget-friendly outcomes.
* Create Passivhaus designs that meet PH standard as well as certified PH retrofit schemes and consultancy requirements.
* Develop designs using Revit/Auto CAD software, depending on project needs.
* Conduct Feasibility Studies to identify potential solutions.
* Provide comprehensive support in delivering all aspects of retrofit, including assessments, design, delivery, and monitoring, in line with PAS 2035/PAS 2038 standards.
* Promote low-carbon material strategies and designs for clients within the building, construction/refit arena, serving as the technical advisor.
* Schedule workload and deliverables, both yours and your project support's, to achieve project requirements.
* Support business growth by working with clients to develop net-zero carbon retrofit services, including client liaison and external profile raising.
* Represent our company at relevant forums, working groups, and client presentations.
* Champion sustainability and lead behavioural change throughout the organization.
* Innovate and promote best practices, clearly communicating benefits and results to colleagues and clients.
About You
We seek a problem-solver who can think laterally and adapt their experience and solutions to new project/programme contexts. Key skills include:
* Strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills.
* Comfort handling large datasets and combining qualitative and quantitative analysis.
* Previous experience in embodied carbon and whole-life carbon assessments, such as calculations and analysis.
* Knowledge of energy reduction opportunities for different building types.
* Familiarity with whole-life carbon assessments and energy audits (EPCs).
* Proficiency in compliance/building modelling software (IES, SAP, One Click).
* Familiarity with Sustainability Concepts.
