ROLE PROFILE RETAIL SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATIVE
Main Responsibility:
* Friendly and efficient customer service.
Sales & Returns processing and receipting payments from customers.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service.
Work with fellow Sales staff to ensure all customers are served without delay in a courteous manner and sales/returns dockets processed in line with company policies.
To operate Cash desk in line with company standards.
Product Knowledge.
To develop & maintain product knowledge levels across all Home, Garden & Paint departments.
Undertake training in all aspects of our retail Home & Garden product offering as the company requires.
I.T.
Systems.
Undertake training as required based on new IT developments introduced by company and as part of your own role development.
Merchandising.
To ensure product is brought in from Goods Inwards area without delay and merchandised to a high standard.
To organise and/or perform maintenance of display areas as requested.
Creating & recreating display areas, keeping them clean, price labelled, presentable & invigorated.
Communication.
To keep Department Heads and Retail manager advised of any significant matters relating to operations.
Offer ideas to Dept Head for improved operations.
E.g.
Promotions, merchandising, Displays Health & Safety.
Ensure you maintain high standards of Housekeeping on a daily basis.
Aisles should be kept free of clutter at all times.
Stock should be displayed safely on shelving and packaging & strapping should be remove from Shop floor, baled & recycled without delay.
