This Area Manager role will give you the chance to join a leading team and gain some essential experience within the world of management.Reporting to the Head of Retail, this role is instrumental in supporting store managers across multiple locations, ensuring operational excellence and driving business performance.Salary: €50k - €70k DOECompany Car & Fuel CardLaptop & Mobile PhoneKey Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards across all retail activitiesProvide expert guidance on store management, margin control, and operational best practicesCollaborate with store teams to enhance merchandising, sales strategies, and customer experienceSupport store managers in maintaining top-tier food hygiene and compliance with health and safety regulationsOffer insights on product range selection, planogram execution, and category layouts.Implement, monitor, and refine promotional strategies across various retail cyclesConduct performance audits, leveraging scorecards, mystery shopper insights, and quality assessments to drive continuous improvementLead in-store projects, including new store launches and refurbishment planningEnsure compliance with security, safety, and emergency protocolsDevelop initiatives to boost sales and profitability while resolving operational challengesAnalyse financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiencyWork closely with suppliers and the Head Office team to align strategies and operationsCollaborate with HR and Fresh Food teams to ensure compliance with staffing and food safety standardsRequirements:A minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail operationsA strong track record of leading, motivating, and inspiring teamsStrategic mindset with the ability to drive change and improve store performanceExperience in managing operational budgets, staffing levels, and business targetsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPointResilient, solutions-focused, and able to perform under pressureA full, clean driver’s license is required
