AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations, from foundational services like Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that set AWS's services apart in the industry.
As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with customers requiring specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
Annapurna Labs, as part of AWS, is looking for a System Development Engineer to define, shape, and integrate solutions for next-generation cloud platforms.
You will be part of a team integrating new silicon, hardware, firmware, and software into revolutionary system architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead triage, debug, and root cause analysis of systems in AWS data centers.
* Enhance troubleshooting abilities and drive closure of in-fleet problems.
* Analyze customers' modes of work/requirements and provide resolutions accordingly.
* Collaborate with Annapurna Labs monitoring teams and other root cause teams to improve quality and reliability of products operation in the fleet.
* Provide requirements from customers' fleet operation perspectives and represent the customer voice to Annapurna Labs ASIC design, SW development, QA, and architecture teams.
* Drive and maintain trainings, quality documentation, and collateral to improve in-fleet operation.
* Design and define various tools and scripts to provide support to projects and customize as per requirement.
* Travel occasionally per need.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
* 8+ years of experience in design/debugging in at least one area: HW/FW/SW.
* 8+ years of experience working with systems and their SW, FW, and HW components.
* Basic skills in scripting: Python/Bash etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Computer architecture knowledge.
* High-speed interfaces knowledge and debug capabilities - PCIe, Ethernet, DDR etc.
* Experience with server (x86/ARM) design or architecture.
* Experience with operating systems, boot loaders, networking, and remote debugging.
* Ability to drive cross-team and cross-disciplinary activities.
* Dive deep quickly into unfamiliar domains.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary:
$100,000 - $150,000 per year.
This salary range is based on the job title and location.
