Job Description:
We invite applications for an Assistant Professor (Ad Astra Fellow) in AI for Advanced Manufacturing at the UCD School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Artificial Intelligence (AI), including machine learning, digital twins, smart manufacturing systems, AI-driven optimization, predictive analytics, robotics, or autonomous systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach and conduct research in AI for Advanced Manufacturing
* Develop and lead projects in collaboration with industry partners
* Mentor PhD students and postdoctoral researchers
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
* A Ph.D. in a relevant field
* Experience in working or collaborating with manufacturing companies
* Strong publication record in top-tier conferences and journals
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
