Are you our next Senior Planner: Urban Planning and Development?
Location: Dublin, as part of our hybrid working model.
Grade: Manager
Contract type: Perm
An experienced consultant with at least 10 years of proven expertise in the sector is sought to build on our profile and to lead project origination and delivery across a diverse project portfolio. The role requires the positive contribution to project development and delivery in accordance with the wider work programme and project priorities of the team.
A snapshot of your peer group:
* 10+ years of planning, development and strategy experience;
* A proven track record in the planning and development industry;
* Strong knowledge and experience of Irish planning and EIAR procedures;
* High proficiency and knowledge of the planning and development policy landscape in Ireland;
* Broad business insight and understanding of commercial processes is critical;
* Irish Planning Institute professional accreditation (with CPD maintained), and/or Royal Town Planning Institute accreditation (with CPD maintained), or equivalent;
* Passionate about planning, development and strategy - eager to learn and engage;
* Self-starter initiative - motivated with a positive and creative outlook, and a strong team player;
* Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in working within a business and technical environment;
* Ambition - career and personal development focused;
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise multiple projects with sound judgment and time management skills;
* Excellent communication (both written and verbal), analytical, facilitation and problem-solving skills;
* Passionate about finding new ways to deliver efficiencies and quality for clients - flexible and adaptable.
Your responsibilities will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:
* To lead a range of strategic planning and development projects across different scales (local, regional, national) including large scale planning consenting projects (residential, commercial, renewable, infrastructure etc), EIAR management and coordination, masterplanning, site and development feasibility analysis, land use zoning and Development Plan submission;
* To provide strategic planning advice to clients and other relevant stakeholders;
* To manage relations with our existing client base in a proactive and positive manner and contribute towards the development of new business opportunities by seeking out new clients;
* To plan and manage own work, showing commitment to continuous professional development;
* To supervise and provide guidance to junior members of staff, as necessary, by monitoring and reviewing their contribution to priority projects;
* To prepare and present complex information in both formal and informal settings;
* Identify and document client requirements;
* Experience of communication (consultations, workshops, presentations and networking);
* Collaborate with Partners and their Business Units across the Firm, and with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality projects;
* Contribution to the creation of new opportunities and new ideas – developing best practice;
* Contribution to the development of business strategy and implementation, defining supporting project procedures and protocol;
* Building and sharing knowledge across the company;
* To carry out other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature to those described above as may be allocated from time to time.
