Job Description:
CS International is proud to be working with a leading Irish construction firm to fill the role of Risk and Pre-Construction Director. This senior leadership position requires an experienced and highly motivated individual to oversee operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive risk management initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pre-construction, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. The role involves regular travel to Dublin and occasional trips to the UK and Europe.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop, review, audit, monitor, support, and report on strategic and tactical risk and compliance matters across the group.
* Work closely with stakeholders to implement policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Duties:
* Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with pre-construction activities.
* Manage relationships, oversee legal and insurance matters, and appraise contractual terms.
* Lead pre-construction management teams, develop strategic plans, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
Risk Management:
* Identify and assess potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain a live risk register.
* Liaise with brokers regarding insurance programmes and surety bonds.
* Review initial contractual documentation, ensure safety standards compliance, and identify potential risks.
Qualifications:
* Primary degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, including full Turnkey delivery, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, risk management, and pre-construction activities.
