About the Role
This dynamic and supportive role involves working with children and young people who require complex emotional and behavioural care. We are seeking an individual who can provide leadership and guidance, assist with day-to-day supervision, and contribute to assessment, planning, and implementation of individual care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with relevant childcare legislation, national standards, and organisational policies and procedures.
* Contribute to high standards of emotional and physical care and safety for all young people in the home.
* Facilitate good communication and decision making between young people, families, and support teams.
* Promote a positive culture of learning and develop an annual team training plan.
* Assist with budgetary control and ensure systems and policy are followed.
Staff Management:
* Provide leadership and guidance, assist in staff organisation and management, and promote a positive culture of learning.
* Assist in the induction and supervision of staff.
* Assist staff with written reports, handovers, and appraisals.
Care Provision:
* Create a homely setting that promotes positive relationships between young people and carers.
* Ensure the maintenance of a safe and caring environment, including building, grounds, equipment, and vehicles.
