Quality Assurance Technician
Cavan Reed Recruitment is partnering with a client based in Cavan to find a Quality Assurance Technician.
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all products meet the company's quality standards and specifications.
Main Responsibilities:
* Perform in-process and final product inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
* Conduct routine and non-routine quality checks using measuring instruments, gauges, and testing equipment.
* Review and approve manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation for compliance with quality standards.
* Identify, document, and report any quality defects, discrepancies, or deviations from specifications.
* Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to resolve quality issues.

The successful candidate will work closely with the production team, assist in audits of production lines and manufacturing processes, and contribute to the development and revision of quality control procedures and documentation.
In addition, they will commission and maintain laboratory equipment, components, devices, or measurement systems, including adjustment/prestart checks/asset care and calibration scheduling as appropriate.
Equipment may include quality inspection vision systems, FTIR, UV Transmittance in solution, UV Microscopy, Melt Flow, Impact resistance, Mechanical resistance, and others.
They will also be responsible for controlling the documentation of all incoming Raw materials, performing QC analysis, and reporting on the results.
Working hours are standard. This hands-on position supports our new state-of-the-art circularity facility and the existing extrusion factory with five high-volume sheet extrusion lines.
