This role supports a beverage manufacturing plant, providing help desk and on-site troubleshooting for process breakdowns.
The position involves a mix of system support and controls engineering requiring strong expertise in automation, electrical systems, and batch process control. You will manage and support various manufacturing technologies, including VSDs, motors, servo systems, valve control, process control, check weighers, scales, and printers, while ensuring minimal downtime in a fast-paced production environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI applications, and batch/recipe software, with additional experience in SQL Server and SCADA configuration.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide weekend help desk support for process breakdowns in a beverage manufacturing plant.
Troubleshoot and program Allen-Bradley PLCs, including ControlLogix and SLC500.
Support and maintain equipment such as VSDs, motors, servo systems, valve control, process control equipment, check weighers, scales, and printers.
Manage and optimize batch processes, utilizing Rockwell systems (RSLinks, Studio 5000, FT Batch).
Configure and troubleshoot SCADA systems (RSView, Intouch, Ignition).
Apply expertise in electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure smooth operations.
Apply operational excellence tools to improve processes and eliminate waste.
Support SQL databases, industrial historians, and OEE systems for continuous improvement of manufacturing systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in programming and systems support, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
Expertise in Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and SLC500 programming.
Strong knowledge of control networks, batch/recipe software, and process control systems.
Experience with SCADA configuration (Ignition, RSView, Intouch).Desirable
Electrical and instrumentation expertise, including VSDs, motors, servo systems, and valve control.
Familiarity with check weighers, scales, and printers in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in SQL and Industrial Historians.
Experience with OEE systems and operational excellence tools.
Proven project and vendor management experience.
