A full-time and permanent position has arisen within Vhi for Head of Central Operations Health and Wellbeing.
Vhi Health & Wellbeing operates and provides a number of clinical services to its members and patients across a range of networks and settings including urgent care, enhanced primary care, hospital at home and other services operated online and in person. The services are provided by a team of multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals and supported by a range of administrative and business functions. As the services provided by Vhi Health & Wellbeing continue to develop and expand, there is now a need to consolidate a number of the supporting administrative and business functions in a central operational support unit to help ensure operational efficiencies and continuous performance improvement.

Role Purpose:
* Provide strong leadership across the central operational support unit team including the consolidation of new and existing functions.
* Develop, implement and maintain the highest of standards and processes across all administrative and business functions within the unit.
* Lead the implementation of key operational processes and functions that support the delivery of the Health & Wellbeing overall business plan & services.
* Working with all the operations leads, drive improvements in quality and performance through standardisation, cohesion and alignment of functions and processes with supporting key performance indicators across services and channels in relation to all operational activity.
* Participate as a member of the Chief Operations Officer leadership team, providing leadership and promoting standardisation across Health & Wellbeing.
* Work collaboratively with all other business functions and units across the organization to optimise the overall performance & functions of the central support unit (e.g. finance, HR, ICT).
* Deputise for the Chief Operations Officer as required.
Required Education & Experience:
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior operational / general manager role in a healthcare setting.
* Proven experience in leading programme & change management.
* Significant experience of leading teams and team working in healthcare operations.
* Strong, demonstrable experience of working successfully with partners including clinical & operational leaders.
* Experience of managing budgets and operating financial control processes.
Desirable:
* 3rd level business or management qualification, ideally at Masters level.
* Experience in healthcare strategy development and implementation.
* Knowledge of health insurance landscape & funding models.
* Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values.
