We are looking for a Senior Mechanical/Process Project Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative OTS team, working on a client site. The Senior Project Engineer will support the management and execution of a broad range of process improvement and CAPEX projects throughout the full project life cycle from initiation to closeout. The successful candidate will have 7-10 years' experience working on projects in a sterile, GMP environment and managing communication with key stakeholders regarding budget and schedule targets.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and execute projects throughout project life cycle from initiation to closeout.
2. Management of the project stage-gates from agreement of URS's, through design, procurement, implementation, commissioning and handover into production, while maintaining budgets and schedules agreed.
3. Project execution will focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence while complying with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations, and codes.
4. Manage cross functional teams, delivering complex R&D, Manufacturing Facility and Processing projects, in a highly automated GMP Production environment.
5. Manage the overall financial performance of engineering projects, including cash flow, life cycle costs, business opportunities and risks.
6. Contractor/vendor management, project schedule management and schedule development.
7. Risk management and action plans to mitigate risk.
8. Strict adherence to safe working practices as set out in the safety statement and other company safety rules.
9. Control and monitor the safe working practices of contractors while onsite.
10. Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety Requirements onsite.
Qualifications:
1. Level 8 degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering, or equivalent.
2. 7-10 years' Project Engineer/Manager experience in managing cross functional teams, delivering a broad range of complex projects, in a highly automated GMP production environment.
3. Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage and execute projects from initiation to completion.
4. Full project lifecycle experience from end to end design through to C&Q and handover.
5. Understands project management process; programming, scope development, design development, implementation and project closeout.
6. Excellent communication / organisation skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation from project teams to site leadership team.
7. Execution/adherence – demonstrated record of on time delivery.
8. Demonstrable record of delivering right first time handover of documentation.
