Job Description:
Responsible for the installation and testing of chassis and body electrical control systems in accordance with customer / suppliers’ specification, ensuring the necessary quality standards are maintained and adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the compliance with the company’s health and safety policy and procedures ensuring the workshop policies are being adhered to.
2. Ensure that work carried out is to the Ardee Coach Trims agreed standard and ensure that all such quality sign off and procedures are complied with.
3. Responsible for ensuring that the vehicle electrical systems are installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
4. Responsible for the installation and modification of vehicle wiring harnesses and components when instructed by the customer or supplier of the equipment.
5. When working either off site or on site you represent the company in a professional manner and in accordance to the company handbook.
Skills Profile:
1. Fully time served automotive, domestic, or industrial electrician
2. Relevant QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft
3. Relevant experience and capable of working on systems up to 600v AC or DC.
4. Capable of reading wiring diagrams.
5. Experience of routing and connection of various cable types.
6. Demonstrate basic fault-finding techniques.
7. Health and Safety knowledge.
8. Proven ability to work as part of a team.
9. Ability to work on own initiative.
10. Good interpersonal skills.
11. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
12. Flexible and adaptable.
13. IMI Level 3 in Electric/ Hybrid Vehicles a distinct advantage
14. Extensive experience of vehicle electrical systems within an automotive environment.
15. Knowledge of wiring harness.
16. Knowledge of multiplex electrical systems and diagnostics.
17. Experience of PLC Systems.
18. Experience of AC/DC electrical systems.
19. Experience of CAN communication networks.
