Project Supervisor (White Space) Data Centre - Berlin - 6-Months Contract+
Are you a Project Supervisor looking for your next contract assignment? Our client, one of the top 4 hyperscale data centre providers across the globe, needs the expertise of a Project Supervisor for their current European projects.
With a global footprint over 5 continents and 60 countries, this is an exciting opportunity to join a truly international organisation responsible for providing some of the world’s most recognisable scalable data centres. This forward-thinking data centre provider has plans to double the number of facilities in the EMEA region by 2025.
This is an opportunity for you to work client-side with an ambitious organisation in the data centre market.
Responsibilities:
1. White space fit out within the 4 walls of a data hall within a live operational data centre facility
2. Manage the end to end project from design handover through to handover
3. Fit out of the electrical infrastructure equipment to facilitate the customers' hardware
4. Supporting both existing customers to reconfigure their data halls as well as servicing new customers
5. Managing the contractors who are undertaking the works
6. Working closely with the health and safety and quality teams to ensure the contractors are working safely and dynamically
7. Ability to deal with multiple smaller high-volume projects at one time (6-12 projects at a time)
8. Project example: Expanding a client space, bringing in racks and running new infrastructure, structured cabling, replacing raised floor, circuit breakers.
Requirements:
1. Previous data centre experience working within white space (servers, storage, containment, network gear, cabling, racks, air conditioning units, power distribution systems)
2. Previous experience as a project manager, client implication manager, project supervisor
3. German speaking
4. Experience in contractor supervision
5. Previous experience in managing a project programme and budget
6. Health and safety and quality conscious
7. Proactive and confident to highlight contractor or safety issues
8. Ability to be on site in Berlin in Germany 4-5 days a week
9. Available to start in March
