Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and lead the implementation of the Institute's research strategy founded on its independence and commitment to excellence;
2. Secure funding and engage with stakeholders to build relationships;
3. Uphold the Institute's commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion;
4. Oversee the Institute's compliance with statutory requirements;
5. Lead the professional development of its people.
Qualifications

* Academic credibility and a proven track record of high-quality publications and successful research grant applications;
* Extensive experience in strategic planning and execution;
* Excellent leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team;
* Financial acumen and the capacity to create and deliver a sustainable, strategic financial future for the ESRI;
* A deep understanding of the Irish public policy environment and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders;

* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the ESRI in public and policy forums.
