Data Center Technicians are part of the Operations team responsible for maintaining and upgrading data center infrastructure. They serve as primary points of contact for internal and external customers, requiring hands-on hardware experience.
Responsibilities:
* Meet service level agreements (SLAs) on assigned trouble tickets through a directed workflow
* Provide first-line support for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues
* Perform server hardware repairs, including drives, motherboards, etc.
* Carry out routine network, server hardware, and OS-related repairs
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on daily tasks
* Engage with Smart Hands in EU Regional POPs
* Maintain security and safety best practices in the data center
* Participate in Data Center power & cooling events
* Contribute to metric analysis and goal achievement during team meetings
* Create documentation for global use
* Identify and implement process improvements relevant to the data center environment
* Perform server upgrades, rebuilds, scheduled works as required
* Negotiate with third-party vendors & contractors
* Support the development of other team members
Requirements
* High school or equivalent diploma
* Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
* Knowledge of networking principles

* Proven ability to handle customer problems effectively under pressure
