The growth of the Irish firm and increasing regulation has created a need for a Manager in the firm’s Professional Practice Group (PPG). We are looking for a high-performing, meticulous and enthusiastic candidate to join our team of audit professionals who are shaping the future with confidence by driving thought leadership and innovation in audit quality.
The Opportunity:
The PPG team is vitally important to both our quality and growth agendas. This is a unique opportunity for someone to build their skillset of technical audit matters, including the latest cutting-edge digital audit techniques, and to develop an understanding of the EY audit methodology and risk management policies.
PPG is responsible for providing the Quality and Risk Management function within the Assurance Service Line. You will help PPG to provide our client engagement teams with support and advice to enable them to deliver the highest quality services to their clients.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Pre-reviewing internal client and engagement acceptance procedures for audit and CSRD engagements.
* Assisting PPG with both Internal and External (IAASA) inspections.
* Being proactive in identifying and driving forward initiatives that make a difference.
* Supporting PPG in improving audit and CSRD assurance systems maintenance.
* Assisting with maintaining and communicating ISA and sustainability assurance mappings.
* Communicating and supporting teams on key updates regarding changes in methodology and policy.
* Supporting the implementation of key ISQM controls.
* Supporting audit and CSRD assurance teams with various templates.
* Assisting with external regulatory returns of the firm.
* Adhering to and enforcing EY's risk management policies and quality agenda.
* Working on ad hoc projects with other members of the PPG team.
To Qualify For The Role You Must Have:
* A minimum of two years’ post qualification experience working as an auditor.
* Strong project management and technical (auditing) skills.
* Reasonable knowledge of ISAs.
* Passion for developing your knowledge of leading auditing techniques.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
* Proactive communication.
* Decisive engagement style to provide support to audit teams.
* Knowledge of reporting under Irish GAAP, IFRS, Irish regulations and Irish company law.
