The Role:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, we are looking for an experienced, energetic, and dynamic candidate for the role of Assistant Front Office Manager. You will have the ability to lead, direct, and work in partnership with your team. Good computer skills and the ability to communicate fluently in English are essential for this role. Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills are also essential. You will be a professional and enthusiastic individual with prior work experience in front office within the hotel sector.
Duties will include:
1. Assisting the Front Office Manager and supporting the front office team.
2. Ensuring the efficient running of the front office activities while maintaining the highest standard of customer service.
3. Training and developing existing and new members of staff through the use of SOP's.
4. Carrying out receptionist & reservation cover - welcoming guests to the property, providing effective check-in and check-out, and operating the switchboard when required.
5. Dealing with guest complaints, queries, and suggestions quickly and efficiently.
6. Monitoring customer satisfaction regularly and resolving any outstanding issues to ensure future business.
7. Maintaining a thorough understanding of the property’s facilities and processes, and contributing to a culture of high-quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts.
8. Ensuring the highest standards of customer care are met at all times.
9. Providing friendly and efficient service and being available at all times to assist with any queries.
10. Assuming responsibility for any issues in the absence of Senior Management and ensuring safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
11. Managing staff to ensure company policy is adhered to at all times.
12. Using onsite computer systems as well as email and Microsoft packages.
The ideal candidate for this position:
* Must have previous experience in a front office role in a hotel.
* Previous PMS experience.
* Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service.
* Must be a team player with the ability to multi-task.
* Be able to cope well under pressure.
* Be able to work on your own initiative.
* Must be standards-driven and detail-oriented, with the desire to progress within the hospitality industry.
* Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Communicate fluently in English (written & oral).
