Job Title: Commercial Solicitor
Newbridge requires a skilled Commercial Solicitor to assist the Commercial Lead in providing legal services for operational assets, strategic projects, business development, transactions, and general business activities.
The successful candidate will support the business in delivering commercial and strategic goals by providing general legal advice and services.
Main Duties:
* Collaborate with the Commercial Lead to manage the legal aspects of strategic projects and transactions, ensuring alignment with Business objectives.
* Provide legal support on general commercial, planning, environmental, large infrastructure, and professional services contracts as required.
* Offer expert legal advice on projects, including renewable energy initiatives like wind, solar, and sustainable technologies, ensuring compliance with Irish and EU regulations.
* Advise the business on legal matters affecting commercial and operational activities, recommending appropriate courses of action and providing clear guidance.
* Take a proactive role in resolving obstacles and managing risks. Actively advise on key commercial contract negotiations and transactions.
* Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements. Support the development and financing of renewable energy projects by advising on legal and regulatory requirements, environmental assessments, and permitting processes.
* Advise on planning, environmental, employment, and non-property related litigation.
* Maintain full cooperation with the company's Health and Safety, and Welfare provisions to ensure employee safety and well-being.
* Participate actively in the Performance Management process to deliver individual and team objectives.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with experience in the Renewable Energy industry is an advantage.
* Mid/top-tier firm or in-house experience, especially in energy-related matters or large infrastructure projects and commercial contracts, is beneficial.
* A Professional Subscription to the Law Society of Ireland or Kings Inn is advantageous.
* Career evidence of excellence in teamwork, personal integrity, and operational excellence is required.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with Legal Case Management Systems are advantages.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
