Job Description
Cpl Healthcare partners with a non-profit organisation based in Dublin, Ireland, providing services for individuals who are homeless and those at risk of homelessness in Ireland.
The Residential Centre in Dalkey, Co. Dublin is a mainstream residential unit, utilising a therapeutic and relational, child-centred approach to identify individual needs and respond to them in a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Work within the framework of the Organisation's overall objectives.
* Collaborate with and receive supervision from the Head of Youth Services.
* Provide leadership and direction to residential staff teams.
* Maintain a safe, caring, and stable environment for young people placed in the centre.
* Manage the centre in accordance with relevant policies, guidelines, and protocols.
* Ensure Care and Placement Plans are established, agreed, implemented, and regularly monitored.
* Promote the rights and responsibilities of each young person.
* Consult with young people, families, centre staff, and external stakeholders as necessary.
* Provide regular supervision to team members.
* Promote and encourage staff development within staff teams.
* Implement project and agency policies and procedures.
* Review policies and procedures regularly.
* Manage staff performance by upholding best practices in human resourcing and performance management.
* Be flexible and open to future development in line with service provision changes.
* Effectively respond to changing client needs and challenges.
* Implement financial management systems and participate in the annual budget process.
* Coordinate referrals to services and allocate case workers as needed.
* Maintain records of work and statistical information.
* Collaborate with relevant personnel from external agencies.
* Engage in regular supervision sessions with the line Manager.
* Participate in relevant training and development courses.
* Attend and contribute to Team, Project, and Agency meetings as required.
* Prepare regular monthly project reports and additional reports as requested by line management.
* Participate in project reviews and evaluations, and implement any resulting changes.
* Be available for the on-call service, monitoring its use and effectiveness, and contribute to its development.
* Undertake assigned work by the Head of Youth Services and/or Services Director.
Essential Criteria
* A professional qualification in Social Work, or equivalent, with 4 years' post-qualification practice experience, and a management qualification suitable for a health or social care setting.
* A minimum QQI level 7 qualification and 4 years' full-time work experience in a social care setting post-qualification.
* Management and supervisory experience in a social setting.
* Extensive experience working with young people at-risk.
* Report writing skills.
* Knowledge and experience of financial management and budgeting.
* Experience of interagency working.

* A working knowledge and understanding of residential childcare and issues affecting young people in state care.
