Main Responsibilities
1. Assisting the Head Chef in maintaining high standards of quality, service, and presentation.
2. Managing and mentoring kitchen staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
3. Overseeing food preparation, cooking, and plating to uphold consistent quality.
4. Contributing to the development and implementation of creative, innovative menus.
5. Monitoring allergens and ensuring accurate labeling of dishes, with strict adherence to food safety regulations regarding allergens.
6. Ensuring compliance with HACCP and all health & safety standards in the kitchen.
7. Supporting the Head Chef in inventory management, stock ordering, and cost control.
8. Leading the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence.
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a hotel or high-volume environment.
* A proven track record of managing and motivating kitchen teams effectively.
* Strong culinary creativity and a passion for high-quality, innovative food.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
* A comprehensive understanding of allergen management and food labeling practices, with a strong commitment to guest safety.
* A solid understanding of HACCP and food safety compliance.
* A professional culinary qualification or equivalent training.
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
* Full fluency in English and availability for full-time, flexible shifts.
* A commitment to continuous learning and development within the culinary field.
