Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
At our bakery in Co. Wexford, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the Food Safety and Quality Systems. This key role will ensure compliance with customer and legal requirements, maintaining the highest levels of food safety, quality, and compliance across all products produced.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversight of food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, GMP, Pest Control, Plant Hygiene, and Internal Audits.
* Ensuring product quality meets agreed specifications and is delivered to customer expectations.
* Fostering a culture of quality throughout the business.
* Collaboration with site management and team leaders to drive continuous improvement.
* Providing training to site staff on food safety and quality standards.
* Leading and supporting site audits, including third-party, customer, and regulatory audits.
* Management of the hygiene department and external cleaning contractors.
* Implementing corrective and preventive actions as required.
* Maintaining company policies and operational standards.
* Identifying opportunities for cost reductions while maintaining product quality.
* Compliance with site health and safety requirements.
Requirements:
* A third-level qualification in a relevant field.
* 3-5 years' experience in a Food Safety or Quality Assurance role, ideally within a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
* Strong auditing experience.
* Proven experience in managing people and leading teams.
* Flexibility and strong problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proficiency in using computer systems and software.
