We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and forward thinking, Mechanical & Electrical specialist, based in Dublin. The role is for a Project Mechanical Engineer to work on multiple projects concurrently across Ireland. The Head Office is based in Dublin and the role will be a mixture of office & site based.
To be considered for this role, you must hold Level 8 in an Engineering discipline and have a minimum of 7 years, hand on experience in an engineering position, ideally within the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:

Feasibility, concept design, detailed design and project delivery work across a range of scales and types of heat network projects around the UK, with a focus on the Dublin & London area.

Act as lead engineer as part of the project development team, conducting front-end engineering (FEED) work to assist in securing new projects.

Engagement with supply chain during both initial procurement and delivery phases to ensure optimal product selection and delivery.
*
Provide project engineering support to a number of live projects, working directly under the Project Manager.

Site visits (from single day to several weeks, as needed) to project sites both in Dublin & London and elsewhere in the UK, to resolve issues during construction engineering, commissioning or operation phases.

Review, analysis and reporting on project performance.
Experience/Qualifications Required:
* Level 8 / Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
* Min 7 years’ experience in an engineering role, preferably within the energy sector
* Flexible and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to take on novel challenges
* Good understanding of heat network systems, and in particular LTHW systems and heat pumps.
* Proficiency in MS Office suite, in particular MS Excel and MS Word
* Some experience preferable in use of computer drawing software, e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks
* Desire to experience full project engineering lifecycle, from early concept design through to construction, commissioning and operation
* Willingness to engage and collaborate with a wide range of multi-disciplinary counterparties
