An opportunity has arisen within our Group Compliance team for a (Senior) Compliance Associate. The role will focus on supporting the Wealth Management business. Our Client is the largest provider of wealth management services in Ireland. This role is a great opportunity to develop expertise and would be suitable for someone interested in building a career in a dynamic regulatory environment.
The Role
This role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to develop their knowledge and experience of financial services regulation and implementation in a fast paced and dynamic regulatory environment. They will assist experienced compliance professionals in the day to day management of issues arising on the team with a view to ultimately providing advice to business colleagues on the regulatory obligations governing their business area(s), including MiFID, CPC and SFDR in particular.
Key Responsibilities
The role will involve the following responsibilities: -
1. Supporting senior compliance staff in the provision of regulatory advice to the business;
2. Assisting with the monitoring of business activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory obligations;
3. Leveraging technology to develop meaningful management information, including dashboards, KRI's and other metrics as appropriate;
4. Assisting with the regulatory aspects of business projects, as required;
5. Assisting with the collation of information for internal and external reporting, including to Committees, Boards and Regulators, working with the wider Compliance Team, including the Head of Compliance, as required.
6. Reviewing business documentation, advertisements, presentations and other marketing material to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements;
Requirements
7. Minimum of 2-3 years' financial services experience, ideally in a Risk, Compliance or Audit role
8. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
9. Curious and inquiring nature with ability to challenge collective thinking.
10. Strong information technology capability with a high level of competence in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and ideally Power BI.
11. Strong planning and organisational capabilities with ability to work to strict deadlines.
12. ACOI or QFA qualified or equivalent, or working towards the same.
