A Day in the Life
The Manufacturing Engineer II is directly involved in the achievement of our mission to contribute to human welfare by manufacturing products that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.
A Day in The Life Of:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
1. Actively participate in all areas of production support including line & audit support, equipment & fixturing development, Gemba support, and Continuous Process Improvement related projects.
2. Support the installation of new equipment, including troubleshooting and any issues found during equipment qualification and design/development of tooling.
3. Troubleshoot manufacturing design/manufacturing issues day-to-day and provide technical solutions via analysis and hands-on interaction to innovation peers and suppliers.
4. Compile, document, and present learnings to project and functional teams.
5. Some people management activities may be required including assigning tasks to others on the engineering team, tracking progress, mentoring, communications, etc.
Key Skills & Experience
Minimum Level 8 Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Electronics & Biomedical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience required in the industry ideally within MedTech.
A dynamic team player who can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams, with strong attention to detail.
Experience in product characterization testing is a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of SAP/Agile is an advantage.
Ability to demonstrate Medtronic Mindsets in their work and good presentation skills are desirable.
We are looking for a good communicator and fluency in English, both in writing and speaking.
Experience in performing people management tasks is desirable.
