Client Partner | Solving the challenge of building elite data teams
A great client of mine are looking for a Data Architect on a 12 month contract who is responsible for defining and executing the long-term data strategy, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability. This role involves designing data models, optimizing storage solutions, and implementing governance policies to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement data architecture strategies, standards, and best practices.
* Design and optimize databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
* Create and maintain ERD diagrams to model data relationships.
* Define and enforce data governance policies for quality and compliance.
* Lead the selection of data management tools and technologies.
* Oversee data integration (ETL) and ensure efficient data pipelines.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data teams.
* Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
* Expertise in data modeling, relational/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Proficiency in big data tools (Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, PySpark).
* Strong knowledge of ETL processes, DevOps (GitHub, Jenkins), and programming (Python, Java, Scala).
* Experience with data governance, compliance, and security regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake.
* Familiarity with Apache Spark, PySpark, and agile methodologies.
* Exposure to AI/ML model deployment and healthcare data standards (EDI, HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).
