About the Role:
Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team on assignment with a high-profile public sector organisation undergoing major change and transformation.
This role will focus on managing large-scale public sector programmes within a highly regulated environment, ensuring efficient delivery and compliance with governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the successful delivery of complex projects within the public sector, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Managestakeholder relationships across government bodies, regulatory authorities, and external partners to ensure seamless collaboration.
Overseevendor management, ensuring third-party suppliers meet project deliverables, SLAs, and contractual obligations.
Take full ownership ofbudget management, ensuring project spend aligns with forecasts and financial targets.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigaterisks, ensuring robust risk management frameworks are in place.
Provide comprehensivereporting and documentation, delivering clear updates on progress, challenges, and resolutions to senior stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices within a regulated environment.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of project management experience, ideally within the public sector or other highly regulated environments.
Proven expertise instakeholder management, including liaising with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and technical teams.
Strongvendor management experience, with a track record of managing multiple suppliers in complex environments.
Extensive experience inbudget management, overseeing multi-million-pound projects.
Solid understanding ofrisk management principles, with experience in identifying and mitigating project risks.
Strong competency inreporting and documentation, ensuring transparency and compliance in project execution.
PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification (e.g., PMP, MSP) is required.
Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
