Technical Project Manager - Electrical HV

About the Role
As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that technical queries are dealt with efficiently and in accordance with Transmission System Operator (TSO) standards and policies.
You will oversee the project from initiation to completion, ensuring that all requirements are met and that projects are carried out in a manner that meets TSO standards and policies.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensuring technical queries are dealt with efficiently and in accordance with TSO standards and policies
* Oversight of project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
* Reviewing and comparing submitted detailed designs against functional requirements and outline designs
* Maintaining records and reports on project progress and outcomes
* Providing technical guidance and direction to team members and junior staff
* Collaborating with peers and stakeholders to meet business priorities and manage issues
Requirements
* An Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years experience post-graduate
* Transmission Substation design expertise with experience assessing substation designs for conformity to standards at 110/220/400 kV
* Digital savvy with excellent client relationship-building skills and leadership abilities
* Construction or project management background with a hunger to grow and develop your career
* Experience completing onsite inspections and monitoring construction progress for compliance to ensure transmission assets can be commissioned in accordance with standards
Desirable Skills
* Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development
* Substantial experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the Energy sector
* Property or infrastructure project management expertise
* Commercial and financial acumen
* Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams
* Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders
* Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on
