This is a financial accounting manager role (non-audit) and an opportunity to join a dynamic team in a growing department in PwC involving Finance Managed Services for a broad client base across a range of industries. This role will be a hybrid working one. The manager role sits within the Accounting Services team which is part of the foreign Direct Investment (FDI) tax channel.
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, versatile and is keen to enhance their accounting and overall business skills. It is expected that the candidate will build strong relationships with both clients, colleagues at local level and PwC’s global network. We are interested in a candidate that has a digital and technical flair who likes to research areas and can lead out digital projects.
The Team:
The Corporate Accounting business is a specialist accounting team with industry and practice experience of working with all types of entities, from multinationals to sole traders.
The core client service offerings are:
1. Statutory accounting services
2. Management accounting services
3. Project management services
4. Flexible resourcing
5. Tax Accounting services
The team consists of 16 professionals drawn from a number of professional disciplines including qualified Accountants in ACA and ACCA, who specialize in the provision of high quality outsourced corporate support and accounting services to clients.
As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
1. Providing guidance to clients on their statutory accounting obligations in accordance with the Company Law Frameworks in Ireland and the UK and the accounting standards.
2. Review of statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS, FRS101 and FRS102.
3. Motivating your team to perform at their best, make a difference and deliver results, while providing mentorship and guidance allowing them to stretch to their full potential.
4. Have an active role in training our junior and senior staff members promoting a learning culture.
5. Liaison with external auditors, the wider PwC tax practice to ensure a smooth and efficient year end sign off for each client’s financial statements.
6. Liaison with Partner, Director and Senior Manager on delivering a quality service to clients and business development projects.
7. Maintaining client relationships and liaising with clients on issues and supporting the team in particular technical areas when preparing statutory financial statements.
8. Occasional special projects for clients/internal PwC.
9. Potential client secondments.
10. Regular liaison with tax and audit colleagues on various technical accounting issues that may arise.
11. Set the tone in promoting risk management and compliance procedures.
12. Customising financial information to suit client needs i.e. customising financial reports.
13. Working with digital tools to enhance client deliverables and opportunities with the business.
