The Senior Accountant will oversee the financial operations of our construction business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities Maintaining the integrity of financial information in compliance with relevant legislation and internal accounting policies Management of accounts payable, receivable, and monthly cash flow requirements.
Ensure all tax returns are filed on time and the company is fully tax compliant Managing the preparation of monthly management accounts to strict reporting deadlines Ongoing development of the month-end close process to drive efficiencies and meet the changing needs of the business Leading the preparation of the annual budgeting process Reviewing of variance analysis against budget and prior year figures Implementation of new systems and processes to improve the reporting functions Coordinating and managing of the year end Statutory Audit Provide financial insights and recommendations to the management team Provision of financial performance reports with variance analysis Carry out other such duties as required by management Requirements Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar) with at least 3 years post qualified experience preferably within the construction industry Experience managing teams strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
