We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team with willingness to travel, initially based in Sweden. This role requires a proactive approach to ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, a strong safety culture, and driving continuous improvement in health & safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety legislation and statutory provisions.
· Develop and coordinate method statements, risk assessments, safe work plans, and permit-to-work procedures.
· Ensure full compliance with the project execution plan and maintain key project safety indicators.
· Oversee safety best practices across the site, ensuring consistent implementation and maintenance.
· Conduct COSHH assessments and ensure proper control of hazardous substances.
· Monitor and document safety interventions, ensuring completion and compliance.
· Perform regular site audits and inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
· Maintain comprehensive records of statutory inspections for project activities, tools, and equipment.
· Take a proactive approach to meeting project HS requirements and fostering a safety-first mindset.
· Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to manage safety responsibilities.
· Provide HS input to site management and actively participate in safety forums.
· Ensure subcontractors adhere to project and company HS policies.
· Oversee the availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
· Deliver Toolbox Talks and safety briefings as required.
· Ensure welfare and hygiene facilities are in place, properly managed, and maintained.
· Collaborate with Project Management to address all environmental, health, and safety concerns.
· Implement and oversee waste reduction and recycling programs in line with project policies.
· Perform any other duties as required to support a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Level 5 Qualification in Health & Safety
· 5+ years of experience managing HS on large construction sites.
· 3+ years of experience leading a team of HS advisors.
· In-depth knowledge of current HS legislation and industry best practices.
· Flexibility to adjust to evolving site and project needs.
· Proven ability to manage and enforce HS standards effectively on-site.
· Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
· Proficiency in computer systems for reporting, documentation, and compliance tracking.
· Self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
