Our Workforce Tax Team helps large corporate employers stay ahead of tax and regulatory changes that impact their businesses and their workforces.
We deliver deep technical people and tax expertise, while providing the critical context to employers to help them make informed and compliant decisions.
Our clients range from multinational organisations and public sector bodies to entrepreneurs and family businesses.

We provide expert advice and solutions to major organisations in areas including
1. Workforce tax
2. Workforce restructuring
3. Employer risk identification, management and compliance
4. Revenue interventions and audits
5. Mergers and acquisitions
6. Share schemes
7. Payroll consulting and optimisation.
Our work is tremendously varied and involves supporting organisations in dealing with the strategic challenges associated with their people and in aligning their People strategy with business performance and workforce tax compliance.
We are a technology enabled team and we are focused on leveraging technology solutions in a number of new and innovative ways to deliver effective and impactful Workforce tax services to our clients.
What does this role offer?
As a Workforce Tax Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.
You will work on a varied portfolio of projects, including, for example, supporting our clients on mergers and acquisitions, working with clients’ HR and tax departments to deliver workforce restructuring projects and identifying and managing tax costs and tax risk, including Revenue interactions.
In addition to working across a range of clients and industries, you’ll also have the opportunity to develop areas of specialisation by getting involved in one or more of our subject matter expert teams, including Equity, Gender Pay Gap or Payroll Consulting.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
8. Working on a challenging, evolving and varied client portfolio, with excellent opportunities to develop into the management of your own portfolio.
9. Assisting in the ongoing management of client relationships by direct day to day contact with key clients, including business development and participating in various consultancy projects.
10. Working collaboratively with teams, reporting to experienced managers, senior managers, directors and partners.
11. Embracing the digital transformation being undertaken in our business and being motivated to drive innovation further in our day-to-day business and that of our clients.
12. Developing your own career. You will have an excellent opportunity to progress and specialise as part of the role.
13. Mentoring, coaching and supporting the development of our trainees, promoting our culture of high performance to make a difference and deliver results.
14. Being part of and contributing to the fun working environment offered by PwC and acting as an advocate to promote our learning culture.
About you – Key Competencies & Experience:
15. At least 2 years’ relevant experience.
16. Strong academic record
17. Recently AITI/CTA qualified or with no more than 1 set of exams to complete
18. Enthusiasm to work with our broad range of clients, to understand their businesses and work with them to address and manage obligations and risk
19. Desire to learn and to apply the knowledge you gain from the regular training sessions we hold on topics that will impact our clients’ businesses
20. Business Acumen, using a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in the market and utilise this information to assist our clients in making innovative business decisions.
21. Relationship management, demonstrating an ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality, diverse relationships.
22. Creativity, demonstrating an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.
23. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
24. Enthusiastic team player with a passion to coach and encourage others to achieve their potential.
25. Ambitious, with a strong commitment to personal learning and development.
