Title: Hydrogeologist
Location: Anywhere in Ireland (remote)
Please note: Applicants must be based in Ireland to be considered for the role as field work is required.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Desk-based studies
2. Site investigation, sampling, and monitoring of water, soil, and waste materials.
3. Logging of trial pits and boreholes and supervising drilling crews.
4. Coordination of site investigation and monitoring programs including management of sub-contractors (H&S, technical and contractual).
5. Undertaking GQRA and DQRA for a range of greenfield and brownfield sites.
6. Developing management plans for contaminated land remediation projects.
7. Soil waste classification assessments.
8. Preparation of technical reports and other deliverables.
Requirements:
1. Master's degree in Hydrogeology
2. Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a consultancy or comparable industry setting.
3. Excellent report writing and communication skills
4. Hydrogeological assessment subject matter specialist
5. Experience in both greenfield and brownfield site assessments.
6. Strong analytical skills in hydrogeological assessment, and contaminated land site risk assessment.
7. Multi-tasker with the ability to engage and liaise with various project teams including in-house and external consultants and clients.
8. Working knowledge of Irish and EU legislation and industry standards is required.
9. Proficient in MS Office, hydrogeological software packages, and GIS.
10. Working towards being a Chartered Professional with IGI, IEI, or equivalent desirable.
11. A full Clean Driving Licence is required.
